England Travel Blog
Travel guides, itineraries, abandoned places, street art and off-the-beaten-path places in EnglandHello and welcome to our England travel blog. You will find all our England blog posts in this section of our website.
Maybe you found our England travel blog because you are considering a visit to the UK, or perhaps you are partway through planning a trip to England. Whatever the reason, we hope we can provide some useful resources and travel tips for England.
Despite hailing from England, we have tended to treat it as a place we return to between travels to see friends and family and take a bit of a break. However, being ‘stuck’ in our home country has brought about a change in attitude. To date, the majority of our England posts are about London, but we are currently planning our post-lockdown mission – to finally see parts of the UK we have not yet made time for.
Because we have only recently started writing about England, you’ll find that most of our posts are heavily focused on architecture (Brutalist, modernism and Art Deco in particular) street art and other off-beat attractions.
Our England blog posts are generally aimed at independent travellers and backpackers like us and have a strong focus on travelling around using public transport, staying in budget accommodation* and exploring off-the-beaten-path and lesser-visited places. Although we are lucky to be able to do a lot of our exploring from our two UK bases.
