Memorial to Students and Teachers who died in the Great Patriotic War

The monument remembers the many teachers, staff and students from the Transnistrian State University who were active during the Great Patriotic War (World War II), a number of whom lost their lives during the conflict. The inscription at the base of the memorial reads “For students and teachers who fell in battles for the Motherland. With a grateful memory. Komsomol members of the Institute”. Komsomol is a common name for the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League.
