The spomenik is dedicated to 65 members of the Ciglenica workers’ cultural society who perished during the fight against fascism in the National Liberation War (World War II). The headquarters of the society, which was formed in 1938, used to be nearby Pravednika među Narodima park in which the memorial is located.
